Role Overview

Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and supportive Educational Support Specialist to join our team in East London. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to children and young people with Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities.

This full-time, long-term opportunity is perfect for individuals who have a passion for behavioral management and are looking to make a positive impact on the lives of our pupils. Our specialist schools cater to students aged 3-19 years, offering a unique and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Personal Support: Attend to the personal needs of pupils, implementing related programs that enhance their social, health, physical, and hygiene well-being.
  2. Lunchtime Supervision: Provide support to pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  3. Learning Support: Assist pupils in understanding instructions, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and early years to KS4, as directed by the class teacher.
  4. Relationship Building: Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding appropriately to their individual needs.
