Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team in Worthing. As a key member of our Southdown Steps Team, you will work closely with individuals experiencing homelessness and complex needs, providing guidance and support to help them achieve successful tenancy and improve their overall well-being.

About the Role:
This is a rewarding career opportunity that offers a dynamic and supportive work environment. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, delivering support services either in the community or in clients' homes, and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build trust and rapport with clients, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to clients with complex needs, helping them to access essential services and resources.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, taking into account clients' unique circumstances and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices, ensuring that our services are tailored to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • A strong background in social care or a related field, with experience of working with vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of local services and resources, including housing options, mental health support, and education/training opportunities.
