About the Role

Located in Merthyr Tydfil, we are seeking an experienced Operational Management Lead to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This exciting opportunity will see you lead a large administrative staff team, working closely with the Specialty Medicine Directorate to deliver against referral to treatment and cancer performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operational support in the delivery of quality services within budget, ensuring compliance with national and locally agreed standards.
  • Manage administrative staff, including leave requests and sickness absence, following established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the specialty management team to identify opportunities for service improvement and implement change initiatives.
  • Ensure effective day-to-day operational management, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements
  • A good standard of education, preferably to degree level, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in management or supervision, ideally within the NHS.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to problem-solve and work independently.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and present it in an accessible format.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £38,890 - £44,884 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you will also benefit from a range of employee perks and rewards, including access to training and development opportunities.
