Job Title: Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. As a CNS, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading the patients' journey from first contact through to discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the patients' journey from first contact through to discharge
  • Deliver high-quality patient care and lead the CNS team
  • Collaborate with other members of the MDT team, including therapy teams and governance
  • Encourage and teach the enhanced recovery programme after surgery (ERAS) with all patients
  • Lead on clinical audits and research under the direction of the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Requirements:

  • NMC registered
  • Significant experience in caring for major Orthopaedic cases, eg. hip and knee
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, positive mental attitude, and sensitivity
