Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employability Coach to join our team at LT Selection. As an Employability Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and innovative teaching and learning sessions that engage, inspire, and motivate learners to meet their individual learning needs and raise aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and motivational teaching sessions that cater to the diverse needs of adult learners.

  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and use marked work to inform teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.

  • Implement effective strategies to ensure the safety of learners online and promote digital literacy.

  • Deliver comprehensive Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to support learners in making informed decisions about their future.

  • Provide thorough assessments and constructive feedback to learners, highlighting areas for improvement and progress.

  • Consistently deliver high-quality teaching sessions to ensure an excellent learner experience and strong achievement and progression outcomes.

  • Foster the development of broader work-related skills through job search sessions and embedding essential skills into teaching activities.

  • Enhance learners' digital capabilities and build their confidence in using ICT tools to support everyday tasks and future advancement.

  • Complete all necessary documentation and records related to learner training progress and achievements accurately and promptly.

  • Integrate safeguarding, British values, Prevent duty awareness, equality, diversity, and health and safety considerations into the learning program.

  • Support learners in developing their confidence, resilience, and understanding to maintain mental wellbeing.

  • Keep sector-specific knowledge current and relevant through continuous professional development.

  • Travel to various delivery sites across the country, with the main base located at the Head Office in South Yorkshire.

Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification, such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent.

  • L3 Assessor Award or equivalent.

  • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2.

  • IAG Level 2 or a willingness to work towards obtaining it.

  • Proficient ICT skills.

  • Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational environment.

  • Experience with roll-on/roll-off delivery models.

  • Ability to design and deliver innovative and motivational sessions focused on individual learner needs.

  • Understanding of initial assessment processes and the ability to use this information to guide teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.

  • Familiarity with different learning styles and the ability to differentiate teaching methods accordingly.

  • Capability to motivate oneself and learners effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads efficiently.

  • Initiative and flexibility in approach.

  • Collaborative teamwork skills.

  • Fully driving license with national travel required.
