Patient Comfort Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Comfort Specialist to join our team at Island Health.

This role involves conducting personal care and nursing procedures to meet the comfort, hygiene and therapeutic needs of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures.

Under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, this individual will work to promote a culture of excellence in patient-centered care.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program such as a Health Aide program or equivalent.
  • Registered with the BC Care Aide.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct personal care and nursing procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families.

The estimated salary for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
