Heavy Vehicle Technician Job Description

As a key member of our team at Optima Site Solutions Ltd., you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing trailers to ensure they meet high safety standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on trailers, including inspections and repairs.
  2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to EBS systems and other trailer components.
  3. Participate in ongoing training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  4. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  1. At least 2 years of experience working with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles
  2. Industry standard qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent)
  3. IRTEC accreditation (desirable)
  4. EBS diagnostics experience, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, and WABCO systems (desirable)
  5. Double deck / lifting deck trailer experience (desirable)
