About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motoring Operations Manager to join our team at Halfords. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and driving business performance.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre Manager to provide productive management and leadership, driving profitability and focusing on the customer journey. Ideally, you will have had previous hands-on experience as a mechanic and be able to divide your time between the workshop, working alongside technicians, and assisting the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high customer satisfaction and experience through effective management
  • Coach and train colleagues in moment-to-moment situations
  • Maintain technical/mechanical ability or experience
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Develop excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Be proficient in IT, with a willingness to learn in-house systems
  • Manage time effectively
  • Hold a current valid driving license
