About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Home Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers who have experienced homelessness, helping them to overcome barriers and live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with practical daily living tasks to develop their independence and achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Help customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, and maintaining their tenancy.
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, providing emotional support and guidance when needed.
Requirements
  • Experience of caring for others, either in a professional or personal capacity.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure, and have a resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different situations and individuals.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
