About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Educational Support Professional to join our Additional Support Department at The Bedford College Group.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support adult learners in achieving their educational goals. As an Educational Support Professional, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating student success by providing personalized support and guidance throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and manage adult student cohorts to complete the Cognassist assessment at the start of their learner journey.
  • Provide monthly support meetings to learners who have matched on the Cognassist assessment recording in the Cognassist platform.
  • Work collaboratively with Curriculum delivery teams to encourage student engagement in Cognassist and support students' attainment and progression.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the College, including Cognassist system notes and progress reports.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 Learner Support Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Experience of providing support to individuals in an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • An understanding of working with adult learners and experience of supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
