Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Planner

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team at Morson Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects, and providing critical path analysis and risk management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create and update project schedules using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Critical Path Analysis and Risk Management: Conduct critical path analysis and risk management activities to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers: Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide Expertise and Guidance: Share expertise and provide guidance to project teams on EVM, schedule development, and risk management best practices.
  • Ensure Schedule Integrity: Maintain the integrity of project schedules, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly monitor and report project progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for recovery.
  • Develop and Maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Create and maintain the WBS in accordance with company processes, ensuring accurate and consistent project scheduling.
  • Conduct Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Schedule Variance (SV) Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of SPI and SV, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for recovery.
  • Provide Training and Knowledge Transfer: Share expertise and provide training to project teams on EVM, schedule development, and risk management best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM): Proven experience with EVM principles and practices.
  • Project Scheduling Expertise: Strong expertise in project scheduling, including critical path analysis and risk management.
  • Collaboration and Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex scheduling issues.
  • Knowledge of Magnox Processes: Familiarity with Magnox processes and procedures, including the Magnox Risk Management Database.
