About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hand Stacker/Hygiene Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our dairy production facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manual stacking of 25kg bags on pallets ready for dispatch
  • Prepare and dispatch pallets of demineralized 'dry blend' permeate powder to the expected quality standards
  • Ensure all machines and the building fabric meet strict standards of hygiene
  • Perform scheduled daily cleaning tasks and use initiative to raise and complete additional cleaning tasks
  • Record and report process deviations to the Team Leader
  • Make suggestions on how hygiene standards can be improved
  • Work with engineering and other members of the team to reduce lost time due to breakdowns
  • Maintain a safe working environment by raising near misses, risk observations, environmental observations, and behavioural safety observations
  • Contribute to completion of risk assessments and standard operating procedures
Requirements:
  • Ambition and drive
  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy and a sound technical understanding
  • Previous experience within the dairy industry or chilled food manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, have strong team working skills, and a flexible attitude to work
