We are seeking a highly skilled Complex Needs Educator to join our team in Cardiff, working within a school setting.

This role involves providing support to students with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and other additional learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people with complex needs or disabilities, and will be able to demonstrate a calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with complex needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop key life skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with sensory activities, speech and language strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Support students with personal care needs where required.
  • Promote independence by encouraging students to achieve their potential through patience and positive reinforcement.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs or disabilities, either in education or care.
  • A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with staff and families.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care needs when required.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply with our support).

Salary: £83.85 per day
