Job Title: Medical Information Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Information Manager to join our team at Merz Aesthetics UK and Ireland. As a key member of our Medical Information Department, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality medical information service to external customers and internal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with GDP, medical device directive guidance, and ABPI code of practice.
  • Develop and maintain compliance with medical information SOPs.
  • Deliver responses to medical information inquiries.
  • Update, create, and maintain standard response letters, FAQs, and medical information content for each product.
  • Ensure adverse event reporting and pharmacovigilance responsibilities are completed.
  • Lead the Medical Information and PV team.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant medical information and pharmacovigilance changes and best practices.
  • Assess changes to business, systems, and regulation to maintain effective and efficient provision of MI and PV services.
  • Review and improve MI and PV processes to drive service delivery and productivity.
  • Maintain the Medical Information system, ensuring IT systems function correctly and meet department needs.
  • Liaise with global teams on IT system implementation.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Medical affairs colleagues to deliver the medical plan.
  • Commercial colleagues to ensure activities are fair, balanced, and compliant.
  • Global colleagues to align on Medical Information and PV activity, research, and global medical projects.
  • Quality Assurance for coordination of PV and product complaints and implementation of new regulation and requirements.
  • MPUK PV colleagues to ensure alignment of and collaboration on PV and MI activities.

Requirements:

  • Life sciences degree (mandatory).
  • Experience (5 years+ is desirable) in medical information (mandatory).
  • In-depth working knowledge and awareness of the ABPI Code (desirable).
  • Reviewer of medical and marketing materials (mandatory).
  • Analytical skills with the ability to understand and simplify complex medical messages.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and accuracy.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pharmacovigilance processes (desirable).
