The Global team is a specialized unit dedicated to enhancing value creation and overseeing media purchasing commitments for our well-established and expanding client portfolio. This team comprises seasoned media traders, auditors, and analysts whose primary role is to disseminate and implement best practices throughout our global network, ensuring our clients consistently receive optimal media value and expert guidance.

This team plays a crucial role in quantifying and monitoring media purchasing performance across all Omnicom Media Group markets for international clients. We are committed to pioneering new methodologies for assessing media value, ensuring we maintain our leadership position in this domain.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing and influencing media purchasing performance/value enhancements across global markets to ensure adherence to commitments.
  • Managing the daily operations of a portfolio of international clients and achieving Media Investment Brief objectives.
  • Building and nurturing robust relationships with the global media community, external media auditors, and our clients.
  • Conducting media audits and ensuring alignment with external media auditors.
  • Assisting the team on global pitches, providing market communications and updates to the pitch team.
  • Supporting local markets with daily and weekly inquiries, as well as contract confirmations.
  • Managing processes, designing reporting templates, and serving as the expert on deliverables, targets, methodologies, value optimization, and execution.
  • Compiling purchasing results and ad hoc reports for presentation to clients and auditors.
  • Collaborating with associate directors and business directors to refine and develop media KPIs for clients and oversee their implementation.
  • Creating monthly project builds, such as new inflation models.
  • Supervising analysts and senior analysts, including training and onboarding.
  • Tracking and documenting the use of media products across the client portfolio.
  • Assisting directors in active value management and optimization of results to fulfill commitments while minimizing over-delivery.
  • Conducting weekly face-to-face meetings with your team.
  • Utilizing systems such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and occasionally Tableau and GMP365.

Your success will be evaluated based on your leadership capabilities (training, mentoring, and developing your direct reports), your proficiency in resolving issues or identifying appropriate escalation paths, and your recognition as a technical expert, demonstrating mastery of methodologies, process improvements, and the development of quality control systems. You will exhibit leadership within the Community of Excellence and deliver clear and precise reports and presentations to clients.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong comprehension and interest in media measurement metrics, KPIs, and market pricing dynamics across all media.
  • A curious mindset to challenge norms and develop innovative approaches.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts with clarity.
  • Experience in supervising or managing junior team members.
  • International media experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in a media auditing role, local market agency media buying (across any medium), or within an International Media Investment/Trading/Accountability team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with well-established organizational and analytical skills.
  • You will be highly numerate, proficient in value methodology, and highly skilled in Excel.
