Job Title: Histology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Histology Specialist to support the day-to-day operation of histological dissection at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with biomedical scientists in the laboratory to ensure a timely workflow through the dissection area.
  • Support the development of Biomedical Scientific staff to undertake specimen dissection competently and meet service requirements and turnaround times.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience post-registration in the NHS working in histology at Band 6 level.
  • Able to communicate in English clearly and precisely both verbally and in writing with a wide range of staff/ managers/ clinicians and external stakeholders.
Salary:

An estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
