Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role in Wandsworth

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to provide support to a Year 6 pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream Primary School in Wandsworth.
- Initial contract commencing October 2024 until the end of the academic year.
- Mainstream Primary School in Wandsworth
- £480 per week | £96 per day | Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- Providing support to a Year 6 pupil with SEND
- Contract extensions available for those wanting to remain at the school beyond initial contract
- Ideal role for aspiring Primary Teachers / Psychologists / Counsellors / Wellbeing Practitioners
This role will require a motivated, determined, resilient and dedicated individual who is ready to fully embrace challenge and who approaches setbacks with a positive, can-do attitude.
As a Teaching Assistant in this role, you will be responsible for providing classroom support to a Year 6 pupil as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA), supporting other pupils at various points in the school day with Autism Spectrum Condition, Speech and Communication Difficulties, ADHD and Severe Social Anxieties, and planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups of students.
