Sodexo Live, a leading luxury hospitality group, is seeking a seasoned Sommelier to lead their wine program at Fulham Pier in London. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in crafting exceptional wine experiences for discerning guests.

As the key ambassador for the wine program, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a wine list that showcases the best of the industry, featuring popular and rare selections that cater to diverse tastes and preferences.
  • Engaging with guests to understand their wine preferences and recommending the perfect pairing for their meal.
  • Conducting regular wine tastings and training sessions for staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about wine and can provide exceptional service.
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels, managing orders with suppliers, and ensuring the wine cellar is well-organized and meets health and safety standards.
  • Promoting the wine program through events, tastings, and collaborations with chefs to drive sales and enhance the overall guest experience.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and pairing techniques.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a deep understanding of wine and its cultural context.
  • WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 3 or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and wine innovations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and impress guests through a personalized bar experience.
