About the Role

Pay Details: Grade 4 SP £23,500 - £24,294 + SEN allowance Pro rata (pending 2024 pay agreement)

Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday- Friday 8.30pm - 3.30pm) Term time only.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of a dynamic and engaging curriculum to meet the needs of learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and/or social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high support and high challenge.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being among students.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting learners with ALN and/or social, emotional and mental health needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the needs of learners with ALN and/or social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support personnel to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students and the changing demands of the role.
