Horizon Teachers is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding Alternative Provision in Camden. The school is a highly regarded SEND provision for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and background in personal care and be able to effectively communicate with children that have Severe Learning Difficulties. The school runs on a highly altered curriculum tailored to the student's individual needs, allowing each child to move at their own speed and receive the proper level of care needed. The classes are groups of 8-10, made up of children aged 5-11, with a class teacher and between 3-5 support staff. The facilities are state of the art, with recent works to deliver the highest level of care possible. The ideal person will be an experienced SEND Teacher able to show experience and confidence in their daily duties, have a good understanding of different special needs, and be able to plan and organise activities for the children to learn through unconventional means. At Horizon Teachers, we are passionate about supporting schools and teachers, and we have a team of specialist education consultants with many years of experience. We are registered with the DBS and all original relevant qualifications will need to be sighted and copied before any work placement. For all teaching roles, you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
