A specialist SEMH school in Whitehaven, West Cumbria, is recruiting a skilled teacher to deliver Art, Humanities, and Personal Development subject areas.

The school offers a unique learning environment for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), featuring small class sizes.

This role requires a creative and flexible educator who can adapt their teaching approach to different subject areas, with support provided for lesson planning.

We seek a candidate with experience supporting pupils in SEN or PRU settings, demonstrating resilience and confidence when working with SEMH pupils.

This ongoing full-time position starts immediately, with opportunities for part-time hours and potential permanent roles in the future.

Competitive daily pay rates range from £160+ upwards, depending on experience.

To apply for this role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience and passion for teaching Art or Humanities.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to tailor teaching methods to individual students' needs.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate and professional references.
  • A detailed CV with at least 10 years of employment/education history, including any employment breaks.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
