About the Job Description

The Energy Sustainability Specialist will work closely with the EMEA Energy & Water Resources team to develop and deliver energy innovation projects that reduce costs and support the transition to a cleaner grid. This role requires a strong understanding of power market design, energy markets, and investment thesis formulation for new technologies, as well as experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include identifying and developing opportunities for AWS to stimulate the transition to a cleaner grid, working with Amazon partner teams to support the development of strategic energy sourcing opportunities, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate systemic risks in power markets.

About the Requirements

We require a degree in a relevant discipline, with 15+ years of experience working across utility/energy/consultancy power systems businesses. A proven track record of delivering projects in power systems and grid infrastructure, renewable power generation, and power trading or energy procurement is essential. A strong analytical skill set, with experience in power market design and energy markets, is also required.
