Job Title: Workshop Technician

Join Consilium Recruit in our Loughborough H.Q. and be part of a dynamic team responsible for test/trial support in all areas of R&D. Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in an R&D workshop laboratory environment, supporting test or research and development activities within a wide engineering context.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the R&D infrastructure for product development and new product introductions
  • Operate workshop machine tools to prepare test samples, including machining and microscopy polishing of thermoplastic composite samples
  • Investigate materials, including testing and analysis for the composite material aspects of the Aqualiner product, electronic control systems, etc.
  • Ensure the laboratory/workshop is operating in a clean and safe manner
  • Support the engineering team to deliver their required tasks
Requirements:
  • Time served diligent technician/engineer with significant experience in an R&D workshop laboratory environment
  • Proven track record of mental agility and adaptability
  • Conversant with working in a new production introduction setting, focusing on innovative and practical solutions to engineering challenges
