Head of Supply Chain Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to partner with Forged Solutions Group to find a highly skilled Head of Supply Chain for their Darley Dale manufacturing operation.

Job Summary:

The Head of Supply Chain will lead the supply chain operations, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals. This senior role will play a critical part in shaping the supply chain strategy, optimizing processes, and delivering raw materials and finished products seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Supply Chain and Logistics department, driving high performance from the team
  • Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy, aligning with company objectives and industry demands
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with raw material suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Manage supplier performance against agreed scorecard metrics, standards, and produce standardized reports for senior managers
  • Lead all aspects of supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, logistics, inventory management, and compliance
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Technical, Finance, and Commercial departments to forecast demand and ensure product availability

Requirements:

  • Sophisticated planning and control experience at a leadership level
  • Previous leadership over management is crucial
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
  • A demonstrated career background within the Aerospace manufacturing sector
