Financial Planning Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Michael Page Finance. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for setting budgets, preparing medium-term financial strategies, and monitoring budget performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Set budgets for 2025/26
* Prepare medium-term financial strategies
* Monitor budget performance
* Meet with budget managers to discuss spend

**Requirements**

* Qualified Accountant
* Local government background
* Strong Excel skills
* Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles
* Excellent communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently

**What We Offer**

* £450 a day PAYE
* Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office
* 6-month contract
