Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
  • Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
  • Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
  • Spares placed in van overnight
Requirements:
  • Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
  • Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
  • Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject

  • Competitive salary of £32,000 - £34,500 per year (£36,000 - £37,000 per year for engineers with forklift experience)

We are a manufacturer of forklift trucks, and as a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Sheffield. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired, mostly in the week.

The Field Service Engineer role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. This is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
