About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solar PV Engineer to join our Power Systems department at Ramboll Group A/S.

Job Description

As a Senior Solar PV Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering consultancy projects in the solar PV sector. This will involve developing technical solutions, designing solar PV layouts for commercial and utility projects, and managing the assessment of associated infrastructure.

You will also liaise with electrical engineers, BESS experts, and planning consultants to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additionally, you will support the development of the solar PV business plan, provide due diligence and technical input to proposals and bids, and represent Ramboll in conferences and renewable energy events.

You will be part of the Solar PV Centre of Competence in Power Systems, as part of the wider Energy division. Our team is at the forefront of addressing the green transition and offers a holistic approach to energy that supports the sector on the journey towards more sustainable solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Taking ownership of delivery of consultancy projects in the Solar PV sector.
  • Developing technical solutions including designing solar PV layout for commercial and utility projects.
  • Liaising with electrical engineers, BESS experts, and planning consultants to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors to obtain proposals and develop project costing.
  • Supporting the development of the solar PV business plan.
  • Due diligence and providing technical input to proposals and bids.
  • Representing Ramboll in conferences and renewable energy events.
  • Training and guiding junior members of the team.
  • Supporting the development of in-house tools and templates.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar PV Engineer who has a strong understanding of the solar PV sector and has experience in delivering consultancy projects. You will have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering and will have proven experience in the Solar PV or renewable energy sector.

You will have excellent technical skills, including familiarity with commercial solar PV design software such as PVsyst. You will also have strong communication and project management skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
