Job Summary
Channel 4 is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join its Policy and Public Affairs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting Channel 4's responses to policy and regulatory matters, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of Channel 4's policy positions on key regulatory and policy issues.
- Monitor and respond to government and regulatory consultations, ensuring that Channel 4's views are represented effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Ofcom, government departments, and industry bodies.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory and policy matters to internal teams and senior management.
- Contribute to the development of Channel 4's policy and public affairs strategy.
Requirements
- A good understanding of how policy is developed, with a minimum 3 years' experience working in government or a regulated sector.
- A high standard of written communication skills.
- The ability to work across a number of different policy and regulatory issues.
- Confident in managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of some of the key regulatory and policy issues impacting Channel 4 and the broadcasting sector.
