You will work closely with the project team, HS2 Ltd, and stakeholders to develop productive relationships that deliver benefits for all parties. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assuring compliance with the Employer's Route-wide Traffic Management Plan (RTMP)
  • Producing and maintaining a Traffic Management register and programme for all sites
  • Coordinating highway works to minimize impact on road users and compliance with HS2-related agreements or Undertakings and Assurances
  • Working closely with the Highways Consent Co-ordinator to ensure timely consent of the project's requirements
  • Providing guidance and support to the wider project team to meet project needs
  • Reviewing and producing site-specific risk assessments and method statements when required
  • Supervising traffic management installations when required
  • Monitoring and tracking compliance of traffic management framework contractors
  • Providing weekly reports to the Traffic Management Manager on the Traffic Management framework contractor's progress and compliance

You will also be responsible for understanding the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes, and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensuring that the requirements, as applicable within your discipline, are implemented on the project. Additionally, you will need to understand the High Speed 2 London to West Midlands Act, the Highways consenting regime, and the New Roads and Street Works Act NRSWA. You will also require extensive knowledge of the Traffic Signs Manual, Traffic Signs Regulation and General Directions (TSRGD), and hold NRSWA Supervisor and Operator qualifications or equivalent. A CSCS card holder, you will also have experience with AutoCAD and Vehicle Tracking.

This role will work on the HS2 project, which is the UK's new high-speed rail network. As a key member of the SCS Railways team, you will have opportunities to take on additional responsibility, join one of our networks for women, military, or LGBT+ staff, and participate in cultural and social events with the local community.
