Locum A&E Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ophthalmology consultant to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a leading provider of eye care services, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Eye Centre with a multidisciplinary team of experts.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in general ophthalmology, with experience in cataract surgery and glaucoma subspecialty training. They will be able to provide expert clinical opinions in elective and emergency general ophthalmology and take full responsibility for patients' clinical care.
We are committed to providing excellent care and are equipped with the latest technology in our purpose-built Eye Centre. Our team is passionate about teaching and providing high-quality patient care, and we are proud to be a pioneering technician-led diagnostic hub at the Dorset Health Village Poole.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a friendly and cohesive department, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration. You will also have the chance to participate in outreach clinics in the surrounding areas and contribute to the development of our ophthalmology services.

Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical opinions in elective and emergency general ophthalmology

- GMC Registration
- FRCOphth or equivalent
- Experience in cataract surgery and glaucoma subspecialty training
