### Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

### Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our dynamic SEND school, working with Primary and secondary-aged children who have a variety of complex needs and can present challenging behaviours.

### Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND needs.
* Assist in managing challenging behaviour in line with school policies and strategies.
* Develop trusting relationships with students, helping them to engage in their learning and achieve their full potential.
* Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create tailored learning plans.
* Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, addressing any safeguarding concerns in line with school policies.

### Requirements:

* Experience working with children who have SEND needs or in a similar role (e.g. behavioural support).
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach to working with young people who can display challenging behaviours.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* A flexible and proactive attitude, with the willingness to adapt to changing situations.
* Passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed in their education.
