Job Title: Senior Town Planner

Location: Tunbridge Wells office

Role Type: Permanent, full-time role

Salary: £40,000-45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Overview: A Senior Planner is needed to provide professional planning advice to external clients and multidisciplinary teams. This role involves preparing and managing a variety of planning applications while carrying a personal caseload with guidance from the team leader. The projects range from major residential and commercial developments to smaller rural schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the planning team to deliver a range of Planning and Development projects
  • Produce and review high-quality planning reports, including development appraisals and planning statements
  • Manage and negotiate planning submissions while collaborating with other disciplines
  • Provide planning support across the business
  • Handle client accounts with a strong focus on client care
  • Assist in preparing fee proposals and tenders
  • Build relationships to identify new work opportunities for the planning team
  • Think creatively and logically to develop effective planning strategies
  • Monitor project finances, control documents, and report on progress
  • Attend events and meetings as required, including occasional out-of-hours commitments

Requirements:

  • Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle
