Precision Machinist

As an Ultra-Precision Technology Specialist, you will engage in the assembly and fitting of high-precision machine tools, utilise intelligently controlled robotic machines to polish complex surfaces, and adapt and apply your skills to new technologies and challenges.

• Fitting and assembling high-precision machine tools
• Operating and programming robotic machines for surface polishing
• Developing and implementing new technologies and processes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
• Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Strong mechanical fitting experience in a relevant industry, preferably with machine tool experience
• A 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to self-start and learn
• Experience with precision measuring equipment is desirable
• Knowledge of optical alignment telescopes and Renishaw laser and ball-bar testing equipment is advantageous

This role offers a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £45,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and performance.
