About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate learning support professional to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. This is a part-time, term-time position where you will provide tailored support to a student with specific learning or emotional needs.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide one-on-one support to a student, assisting with learning, behavior, and personal development.
  • Support the student in accessing the curriculum and help with any challenges they may face.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans and monitor progress.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Support the student during social and emotional development, helping to build resilience.
  • Assist with the management of behavior in the classroom, ensuring a calm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the student.

Requirements:



  • A proven track record of working with children, preferably in a 1:1 or SEN (Special Educational Needs) role.
  • An understanding of the needs of children with learning difficulties or additional support needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers and parents.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for supporting children's development.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential.
