Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Moon Recruitment. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing and pricing tenders for bespoke joinery projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to prepare pricing documents
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Team to identify suitable suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare and send out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assess project risk and discuss with Senior Managers to determine the best approach
  • Price projects using product knowledge, pricing information, and estimating software
  • Carry out take-offs and raise queries to the QS or architect as necessary
  • Submit prices to clients, attaching relevant promotional literature and video links
  • Review orders and ensure accuracy, checking pricing documents and drawing issues
  • Handover documents to the Project Delivery Team and arrange meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Experience in estimating and pricing for bespoke joinery projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction and joinery practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in estimating software and pricing matrices
