We require an experienced Conservation Officer with technical policy expertise to support our team on a maternity cover basis.
This is a fixed-term part-time position based at Woods Mill, BN5 9SD, with an estimated annual salary of £19,538.
About the TeamOur team works to defend and recover nature in Sussex. We are seeking a skilled Conservation Officer to join us on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the development of policy and guidance on conservation issues.
- To provide expert advice on conservation matters to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- To maintain and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and other conservation organizations.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant subject, such as conservation biology or environmental science.
- Proven experience of working in a conservation or environmental policy role.
- Excellent knowledge of environmental policy and its application in strategic planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
