Audiology Specialist

This role is a full-time opportunity with a benefits package that includes a pension scheme, professional development support, and free car parking. The company offers a holiday allowance of 23 days plus 8 bank holidays for full-time employees, pro-rated for part-time working.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering diagnostic audiology services to patients referred by local GPs. As an integral member of the Adult Audiology Service team, you will carry out routine audiological procedures, including diagnostic testing, adult rehabilitation with hearing aids and assistive listening devices, and associated follow-ups and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering an Adult Audiology Service, ensuring accurate patient assessments using a combination of clinical evaluations.
  • Taking clinical histories from patients or their carers.
  • Clinical interview to assess hearing and communication needs.
  • Full otoscopy and audiometric testing, including pure-tone air and bone conduction thresholds with masking.
  • Assessment of current activity restrictions and participatory limitations using the Glasgow Hearing Aid Benefit Profile (GHABP).
  • Loudness discomfort levels assessment and integration of findings with service user expectations.
  • Development of personalized care plans and supporting ongoing professional development through training and learning opportunities.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
