Paediatric Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Emergency Nurse to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Paediatric Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring that high standards of patient care are maintained at all times.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with Trust objectives and national guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and experience.
- Collaborate with other departments and services to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support patient care and departmental objectives.
- Registered Nurse - Child (RSCN/RNC) with current NMC registration.
- Experience of working in a Paediatric Emergency Department or similar setting.
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of national guidelines and standards for Paediatric Emergency Care.
