About the Role

BAM Nuttall is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a large civil engineering project in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the project team to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that value for money is achieved.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the project delivery.
  • Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement a health, safety, and environmental management plan to ensure that the project is delivered safely and with minimal environmental impact.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns that may impact the project delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
