Job Opportunity: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The Oval Partnership is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the NE area. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient task completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance, repair, and breakdown tasks on packing machinery and associated equipment.
  2. Record and log maintenance requests and fault repairs, attending breakdowns, and repairing in a timely and controlled manner.
  3. Provide progress reports to Engineering Management/Supervisor.
  4. Carry out specific projects as required by the Engineering Management team.
  5. Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation.
  6. Liaise with the production team to ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have completed an Engineering qualification or be a time-served engineer, with experience in electrical installation and maintenance, including relevant practical experience. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take direction and challenge in a professional manner, are essential. Experience of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance, installations, and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is also required.

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification or time-served engineer.
  • Experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance, installations, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Working Hours:

Early and late shifts available.
