About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and organized Recreational Therapist to join our team as a Weekend Activities Coordinator at Priory Hospital Bristol.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and providing a range of therapeutic, wellbeing and social activities for patients across inpatient Acute and PICU wards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a programme of activities to complement group therapy provision, including entertainment and events
  • Listen to patients through conversation and questionnaires to aid and facilitate activity choices
  • Develop and maintain links with local community churches, schools, gyms etc.
  • Plan and risk assess activities before they take place
  • Document patient engagement on our internal system

About You

We are looking for a cheerful, outgoing, and passionate individual who is organised and has some experience working within the care sector. The ideal person will have experience facilitating group activities or events and be able to understand the needs of patients.
