About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our site, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning maintenance activities across our production footprint, engaging with colleagues at multiple levels to ensure delivery of a robust production facility.
  • Take accountability for maintenance planning activities, utilizing operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Work alongside Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to manage technician workload, ensuring all PM activities are completed on time and in full.
  • Handle the arrangement and scheduling of non-production maintenance activities, including buildings and services, storage racking, and HVAC systems.
  • Review and plan internal and external Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive/Corrective works for day-to-day operations and shut-down periods.
  • Support contractors with day-to-day activities, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance for the site.
  • Assist in site quality control, ensuring all calibrations and statutory records are kept up to date.
  • Assist with the control of contractors on site and the selection process for new contractors.
  • Operate the site Permit to Work system on a day-to-day basis, supported by the Engineering and HSE Managers.
