Lead AV Engineer Job Description

Zebrec is delighted to offer this exciting opportunity as a Lead AV Engineer working for our client, a reputable and leading provider of professional services to the marine and home automation markets.


Responsibilities and Skills
  1. Act as the primary interface between the engineering team and the project manager, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  2. Work with top shipyards, architects, and interior designers on high-end residential and marine projects, delivering systems to the highest quality.
  3. Develop and implement audio visual, mechanical, and electrical services, integrating them with control systems, lighting, HVAC, BMS, access control, and security.
  4. Utilize Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and MS Project to manage project documentation and progress.
  5. Train and mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and knowledge to ensure team success.
  6. Monitor and report project progress to the project manager, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  7. Manage relationships and interfaces with other contractors, fostering a collaborative environment.
  8. Experience in super yacht project management or a relevant industry is highly desirable.
  9. Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills are essential for this role.
  10. A proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget is required.
Technical Requirements
  1. Multiple project experiences with Crestron DM and NVX.
  2. Good working knowledge and experience with networks.
  3. Good working knowledge of digital audio systems such as Qsys or BSS.
  4. Experience in lighting systems such as Crestron and Lutron for programming and installation.
  5. Excellent fault-finding and commissioning skills.
  6. Proficiency in hand tools, test equipment, and soldering.
Language Skills

Foreign languages such as Dutch or German are highly desirable.
