Senior Hydrologist

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a skilled Senior Hydrologist to join their team. As a leading recruitment agency, we understand the importance of finding the right candidate for this role.

This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a substantial bonus and career development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong BSc, MSc or PHD in meteorology, hydrology, science or mathematics, with experience working for a UK-based Consultancy, Local Authority or University specialising in python, geospatial processes, GIS and analysing large weather data sets.

Key responsibilities include improving the use of weather models to assist flood forecasting, sourcing, evaluating and utilising global weather data sets to support flood forecasting systems, and developing best practice in flood risk communication.
