Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Capital, Estates and Facilities Management (CEFM) team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe management of our facilities and services, and will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to our staff and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on risk management to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide training and support to staff on health and safety matters, and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that health and safety is integrated into all aspects of our work.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in health and safety, with a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Substantial experience of working in a health and safety role at a large or complex organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- A high standard of written English, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and policies.
