Quality Assurance Technician

About the RoleThe Shift Quality Assurance Technician monitors process and product compliance, ensuring raw materials and goods and services are received and dispatched appropriately and business targets are met to satisfy customer demand. As a Shift QA Tech, you'll be involved with auditing and reporting of shift process and product compliance testing, as well as problem solving using root cause analysis techniques.
- Adhere to Knauf Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Maintain high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, Quality and security in the work environment.
- Ensure the production teams remain compliant with standards and procedures.
- Monitor product parameters versus specifications to meet Knauf Standard.
- Ensure test equipment is compliant with maintenance and calibration schedules.
- Liaise with QA Techs across shifts to develop best practice.
- Monitor raw material compliance.
- Use automated and computerised systems where necessary.
- Provide Technical support on-shift to maintain continuous operation
- Respond to and deal with customer complaints and associated communication (Root Cause Analysis problem solving).
- Ensure Quality KPI's/targets are met or exceeded.
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Walk and audit the production processes on a daily basis.
- Previous experience working within a lab and quality assurance role.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Safety and Standards.
- IT skills, particularly when it comes to using databases and spreadsheets (MS Office)
