Job Summary:
The Rough Sleeper Outreach Team Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for leading and managing a team of outreach workers dedicated to addressing the needs of rough sleepers in our community. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a team of rough sleeper outreach workers, providing direction and support to ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, partner agencies, and community organizations.
- Conduct regular team meetings, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with rough sleepers, building trust and rapport to assess their needs and provide appropriate support.
- Coordinate the provision of emergency accommodation and other essential services for rough sleepers.
- Provide guidance and support to outreach workers in conducting assessments and creating personalized support plans for rough sleepers.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in relation to rough sleeping, homelessness, and related support services.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a relevant field, such as homelessness outreach, social work, or community support.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with a track record of delivering results.
- Strong understanding of the issues and challenges faced by rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with vulnerable individuals.
- Knowledge of local resources and services available to support rough sleepers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and community organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
