Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate of $27.51-$33.95 per hour, plus a retention bonus of $1000 paid twice yearly. This permanent part-time opportunity offers a stable work-life balance, working Monday to Friday from 1:25pm - 6:00pm in our Kindergarten with Extended Hours Program.

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced or newly graduated educator to join our team as an Early Childhood Development Specialist. In this role, you'll collaborate with our Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to create a safe, supportive, and engaging play-based learning environment for children aged 3-5 years. You'll work closely with your team to design and implement curriculum programs that promote children's curiosity, capability, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement curriculum programs that align with the Queensland Government's Early Years Framework
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families and the wider community
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification)
  • First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
  • A valid Blue Card or Exemption Card
  • A Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one)
