Job OpportunityWe are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our team in Scrabster, Thurso, as a Support Worker. This role involves supporting a gentleman with health and learning difficulties to live independently in his own home, working with a tailored care and support plan to meet his individual needs.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, physically active, and enjoy the outdoors and various activities, including swimming, walking, attending day centers, and cinema. It is essential to spend time with close family and have a strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, and determination.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication.
- Work with a tailored care and support plan to meet the individual's needs.
- Support the individual in their daily activities, such as swimming, walking, and attending day centers.
- Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the individual, their family, and other healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience of autism and learning disabilities is an advantage.
- Active, physically resilient, and have great communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in their role.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
