Claims Handler

We are seeking a skilled Claims Handler to join our Casualty team at Davies Group. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for handling allocated claims, communicating with insurers, policyholders, and brokers, and determining appropriate actions to resolve each case.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with insurers, policyholders, and brokers to gather information and resolve claims.
- Investigate claims, either from your desk or by referring them to a field adjuster for on-site investigation when necessary.
- Obtain all relevant evidence and documentation to support claims.
- Determine appropriate actions to resolve each case, including negotiation of settlements within agreed authority limits.
- Prepare detailed reports advising on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics as needed.
- Maintain proactive communication with all parties involved, including policyholders, insurers, and brokers.
- Handle cases according to documented procedures and client requirements.
- Regularly review and maintain proper reserves.
- Stay updated on technical changes relevant to your role, including participating in company-facilitated training programs.
- Proficiency in managing claims from cradle to grave.
- Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Collaborative team player.
- Management of personal caseload.
- Demonstrated adaptability and versatility.
- Experience managing NIHL (Noise Induced Hearing Loss).
- Experience with the investigation of Liability Claims.
- Familiarity with reserving strategies.
- Exceptional communication abilities across various levels.
